Mulembe Nation is building a structured intelligence layer for East Africa and the Great Lakes region. The publishing is one output. The data — governance indices, place records, entity relationships, community knowledge — is another. Both are available to organisations that need them.
What we offer
Sponsored Index Reports
A branded, co-published intelligence report built on our proprietary indices — Sentinel (governance), Capital (ESG), Place, Food Systems, Sport Intelligence, Language Vitality, Heritage Vitality, or Roots. Commissioned by a county government, DFI, NGO, or corporate. Published under your organisation's name alongside Mulembe Nation's methodology and data infrastructure.
Each report covers a defined geography and question set. Methodology published in full. Data independently verifiable. Your organisation does not influence the findings — you commission the question, we answer it honestly.
From $2,500 per report. Contact us to scope.
Data Licensing
Access to structured index data for research, journalism, and academic use. Covers the full Mulembe Nation index suite across all nine verticals. Suitable for researchers, journalists, and institutions that need sourced, structured East African data for analysis or publication.
From $500 per year. Attribution required. Commercial redistribution not included.
Data API (In Development)
Programmatic access to the Mulembe Nation entity graph — places, people, organisations, events, and their relationships across East Africa. Query by geography, entity type, time period, or index score. Designed for developers, data teams, and organisations building products that need structured Great Lakes intelligence.
The API is currently in development. Register your interest now and we will contact you when access opens.
From $200 per month when launched. Early access pricing available for registered interest.
Research Partnerships
Co-investigation, data sharing, and embedded research arrangements for universities, think tanks, health institutions, and development organisations. We bring the context graph, the community relationships, and the publishing infrastructure. You bring the research question and the methodological rigour. We build something neither of us could build alone.
Current research areas: governance and institutional accountability, food systems and agricultural data, African language documentation, community health infrastructure, and clinical trial site intelligence in East Africa.
Contact us to co-design. Some partnerships are revenue-sharing; others are grant-funded collaborations.
IP Licensing
Our original series — investigative histories, cultural docu-series, and long-form narrative journalism — are available for screen adaptation, documentary licensing, and educational use. We hold rights to the Lumboka-Chetambe War series, the Kamanyasi Chronicles, The Great Maragoli Migration, and Ikine On Tour, with more in development.
Contact us for rates. Each licensing arrangement is negotiated individually based on use, territory, and duration.
Editorial Commissions
Commission original reporting, data analysis, or place intelligence from Mulembe Nation's editorial team. We cover Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the DRC with writers and data contributors on the ground.
Contact us to discuss. Rates depend on scope, geography, and format.
