Mulembe Nation’s reporting and index data depend on people who know things we do not. If you have information, documents, data, or observations that belong in our coverage, we want to hear from you.
What we are looking for
Governance and accountability: budget documents, audit reports, court filings, procurement records, electoral irregularities, or evidence of institutional failure or capture.
Business and ESG: financial disclosures, environmental incidents, community impact evidence, regulatory breaches, or corporate governance failures.
Community data: place observations, food system data, cultural knowledge, genealogical records, language material, or any ground-level information that belongs in our indices.
Story leads: anything you think we should be investigating or covering that we are not.
Source protection
We protect our sources. The form below is suitable for non-sensitive tips. For sensitive material, use our secure channel: lab@mulembenation.co.ke. For the highest level of source protection on highly sensitive material, contact us at lab@mulembenation.co.ke first and we will arrange a more secure method.
We do not reveal source identities even under legal or institutional pressure. If we cannot protect a source adequately, we will tell them before they provide material.
What happens to your tip
All submissions are read by our editorial team. We cannot acknowledge every submission individually. We do not publish tips without independent verification. If a tip leads to published reporting, we will not name you as a source without your explicit agreement. Data submissions that do not lead to immediate editorial coverage may still be incorporated into our index data, handled according to our Data Governance standards.
