IEBC disqualifies Mike Sonko from running as Mombasa Governor. The Wiper Democratic Movement candidate for Mombasa Governor has failed the integrity test and will therefore not be cleared by the electoral body to run for office. Citing Chapter 6 of The Kenya Constitution and his impeachment from office when serving as Nairobi governor, the commission’s chair, Wafula Chebukati from a press conference at Bomas spoke on the IEBC’s stand on aspirants integrity.
