For Prof Wajackoyah reggae never stops

Yesterday was a good day for Weedheads Kenya (and others) whose dreams of the equator straddling East African nation exploiting its God given advantages to grow marijuana for recreational and medicinal use, as visualized in the Presidential Campaign of The Roots Party of Kenya Candidate for presidency moved yet another inch closer. The candidate, Professor of law, George Wajackoyah unveiled her highness Justina Wambui Wamae as running mate. It seems like for the good prof, his majesty Ras Wajackoyah reggae never stops; as he just getting started.

Or, read the story…

The Roots Party Of Kenya presidential candidate, beloved by some for his promise to legalize marijuana if he became president, today unveiled his running mate for the country’s top job.

Donned in a grey bandanna and standing in front of his party’s white flag, in a no frills ceremony, Prof Wajackoyah inched closer to occupying the big house on the hill.

His preferred candidate for the race did not waste the opportunity, seizing the moment to sell her and her candidate’s bangi dream by rocking a marijuana plant emblazoned lesso.

The 5th as he calls himself, in typical no-prisoners-held fashion, presented Justina Wambui Wamae to the public.

In doing so, Prof became the first presidential candidate to name a woman ???????????? as his principal assistant-in-chief should he win the August elections and form the next government.

He also became the first to name a candidate from Mount Kenya as running mate.

About Justina Wambui Wamae

  • In 2017, Justina Wambui Wamae run as independent candidate for Mavoko constituency after failing to clinch the Jubilee Party ticket. Ms Wamae garnered 1251 votes beating another independent candidate Kyaiwa Jacqueline Mutindi (686) in a race in which current MP Patrick Makau whitewashed the competition (49728).
  • Wamae holds a masters degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and a bachelors degree from Daystar University.
  • She was born and raised in Dagoreti, is a mother and a wife of Mr Kanyi of Murang’a.

What Justina Wambui Wamae brings to the Wajackoyah ticket

  • Political experience to the ticket. This is because she has had skin in the game
  • Further, her gender and age appeals to important constituencies in coalition building for a sucessful oresidential bid,.i.e. Women, the youth and ethnic Mt. Kenya. Having also ran for member of parliament in Mavoko could mean expanded access for Wajackoyah to pockets of support in a vote rich cosmopolitan constituency that’s also part of the wider Nairobi Metropolis.

What Justina Wambui Wamae as running mate fails to do

  • Frankly, she lacks oomph and fails to excite sufficiently; at least not to the levels needed for fringe bids like this one of Professor Wajackoyah. Compare the Wajackoyah-Wamae ticket with other similar tickets (The Prof Ole Kiyapis, Abduba Dida, Kenneth-Ronald Osumbas) from earlier elections and her handicaps is apparent.

That said, with the ticket now complete, for the good prof, his majesty Ras Wajackoyah reggae never stops.
