I was born and grew up in Matisi village in Bokoli ward, Webuye west sub county. That is where my engobi is buried. I have been blessed to experience all forms of life since my childhood; and its in this adventure called life that I find inspiration for my content. The “Tinny – Choffuri Show” that runs on my YouTube channel chronicles my day to day experiences and life stories, complete with a set that stays true to the way of life of my people and our lived environment.

Jalango once said in an TV interview that poverty inspires him.Who/what drives or inspires you?

I couldn’t agree more. It is said that necessity is the mother of invention, therefore unmet needs could be a powerful motivator, making us to be creative and innovative. That said, my experience has been that once one discovers their talent, passion and interest drives them. That is to say, my passion for acting will never wane, even if today I became a governor. If that were to happen, I guess all my free time would be spent doing what I love most – acting! This is because I feel alive when I rehearse my write a script, rehearse my lines and collaborate with other talented minds to bring it all together for our audience.

If you could change one thing about the comedy industry in Kenya, what would that be?

My dream has always been to see our country’s filming industry embrace diversity. My wish is to be the plug into the industry for all talented youth. You know, be a big brother nurture their talents, that kind of thing. That way, we will achieve diversity as every act doing their thing to the fullest only serves to enrich our offering to the world. That way, we could easily emulate and even surpass the $50 Billion Nollywood industry.
