Dr Khalwale and Malala reach truce on 2022 Kakamega governor race, bringing to a cool simmering ANC – UDA sibling rivalry that threatened to kill Kenya Kwanza’s prospects in Kakamega.
In a deal brokered by Deputy President William Ruto, former Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi, and Former Leader of Majority in The National Assembly Aden Duale, the Kenya Kwanza Candidate for Governor in the 2022 elections will be ANC’s Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala. Former Ikolomani Member of Parliament, who also served as Kakamega Senator (2013-2017) Dr. Boni Khalwale of UDA will be the coalition’s candidate for Kakamega Senator in the 2022 elections.
