Accounts Receivable is revenue invoiced to customers, but not yet paid.In the balance sheet, accounts receivable is logged as a current asset. However, it is important to follow this value closely as it can be a source of cash flow problems and bad debt. As a general rule, the older an invoice goes is without getting paid, the less likely it is to get paid.
