Meaning of your child is the supporting stick of your back

In this saying, our forefathers pass on the wisdom that children are a heritage, a reward, the future and a blessing. Therefore, as parents or as those whose decisions and actions can harm children, we should always protect our young right from the vulnerability of infancy, childhood and through out their journey of maturity.

In all we do, we should aim to raise individual capable of making their own choices or decisions and with the ability to act on them. This Maragoli saying promotes the idea of the cyle of life. The children we take care of today, will take car of us in old age. As a result, we better hope that the children we raise grow right; because when we ourselves become weak and vulnerable with advancing age, it is only best that those who have the ability and power to make decisions that affect us are capable, empowered and a blessing to us.
