Meaning of the proverb
Ordinarily, no one likes feaces. However, for obvious reasons dry feaces are better tolerated tan wet or fresh ones. This Luhya proverb cautions about blindly following others whilst ignoring how different the situation is for each one of you based on the small and large differences between yourselves. For example, while the immediate consequences of skipping school may be the same for all involved i.e. suspension or expulsion from school, how you deal with these consequences often differs. While some of you may have the means to beat the system by enrolling into another school, many of you may have no choice but to serve the suspension if suspended, or drop out of school altogether if expelled.
