Rigathi Gachagua is a Kenyan politician and businessman who served as Member of Parliament for Mathira Constituency in Nyeri County of Mount Kenya region of Kenya.
- On 15th May 2022, Rigathi Gachagua was nominated by Deputy President William Ruto to be his running mate on the Kenya Kwanza Alliance ticket in the 9th August 2022 Kenya General Elections.
- On 15th August 2022, Rigathi Gachagua became Kenya’s second Deputy President Elect after Deputy President William Ruto was declared Kenya’s fifth president elect by IEBC. They were running on the Kenya Kwanza Alliance ticket. Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes representing 50.49 percent of the final vote, while their main challenger Raila Odinga received 6,942,930 votes (48.85 percent), as announced by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati at the Bomas of Kenya national tallying center.
